Symptom Driven Investigations Tailored to Individual Needs

2nd Opinion Expert Consultation
Welcome to AVCS Vascular Consultation, a dedicated second-opinion expert practice specializing in vascular compression syndromes of the abdomen and pelvis.
Through evaluating and supporting a multitude and wide array of patients with complex multiple vascular compression syndromes, I have cultivated a deep awareness and compassionate understanding of what my patients endure. Many of them remain undiagnosed or misdiagnosed for years if not for decades. Even when a diagnosis is made, it is often fragmented, leading to suboptimal treatment plans and outcomes. Patients frequently find themselves in a frustrating cycle of diagnoses and surgeries with poor results, due to less appreciated and often co-existing conditions. We need to do better, for our patients, and as a collective representation of the medical community worldwide.
My mission is to provide a comprehensive, holistic evaluation, a "BIG PICTURE" perspective, as each patient presents. I strive to create a personalized roadmap reflective of their unique needs, offering expert guidance and actionable recommendations. By empowering patients to make informed decisions and navigate the complexities of their conditions, I assist my patients in selecting the most appropriate treatment approaches for their anatomy and symptoms.
Many patients express reassurance and confidence as they avoid common pitfalls of piecemeal diagnosis and treatments, and are able to prioritize their surgical planning for better outcomes. For those who have experienced less than ideal results from previous interventions, I conduct thorough investigations to correlate symptoms with imaging, enabling the development of effective next steps. While I have transition away from doing surgeries, I remain actively engaged in research and patient consultations. I believe that providing accurate diagnosis in a comprehensive context of multiple vascular syndromes at play is the most important first step in the journey for patients with multiple vascular compression syndromes.
Above all, I am deeply grateful to the many patients who have entrusted me with their journeys over the years. The collective knowledge gained from these encounters have been invaluable and indispensable, enabling me to connect many dots, provide meaningful insights, and advocate for greater awareness.
Warm Regards,
